The NextGen Gender Gap: The Future of Homeownership for Women
Single women make up the second-largest segment of homebuyers, outnumbering single men 2:1. However, in the recent NextGen Homebuyer Report, women reported higher levels of financial stress and barriers to homeownership in comparison with their male counterparts. In this webinar, Kristin Messerli and Sarah Vita of Cultural Outreach will address the gender disparity uncovered in this report and deliver unique and valuable insights into reaching this important segment of homebuyers. In addition, participants will learn about NextGen women’s financial attitudes and preferences in home buying, the impact COVID-19 has had on their home search, and the potential causes for the gender gap. Kristin Messerli is the founder of Cultural Outreach and the digital mortgage platform, Ardley, and she is a national speaker on adapting to cultural shifts in housing and finance. As a former social worker, Kristin applies therapeutic principles to help professionals understand how to communicate and build trust with a generation of skeptical consumers. Kristin has spoken at hundreds of conferences and events, including ones with the Mortgage Bankers Association and Harvard Business School, and she has consulted for over 50 lenders in the US, including Wells Fargo, Quicken Loans, and TD Bank. Kristin is committed to her mission to reduce wealth inequality and democratize access to financial freedom and security.
